Dublin-based engineering company Mercury has won a €70 million contract to handle all mechanical and electrical engineering work on the construction of Dublin Airport’s Terminal 2 and Pier E.
Mercury Engineering will start work in the summer and the contract will run until the opening of T2 in April 2010. Mercury has previously worked on the construction of the Luas lines, the Dublin Port Tunnel and Dundrum Town Centre, among other projects.
The company was founded in 1972 by Tyrone man Frank O’Kane and Dubliner Joe Morgan. It is the largest engineering services company in Ireland and has operations in the UK, central and eastern Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.
