The DAA gardeners at Dublin Airport have commenced preliminary clearing and weeding work on the internal approach road to the Airport as part of a T2 landscaping project likely to continue until the end of 2010, when the new terminal becomes fully operational.
The cutting and spraying of weeds and scrub adjacent to the South Corballis and East Link Roads began over the past week or so and new grass seeds will be sown in late August early September.
The next phase of the project will involve the planting of small trees, hedges and shrubs in November, the ideal time for such work as iConnect`s amateur gardeners know so well.
The landscaping work will move to the other environs of T2 through 2010 as
the various sites become available and as the gardening season dictates.
