DAA Working To Improve Dublin Airport's Road Network

The DAA has started work on a major upgrade of Dublin Airport's internal campus road network.

As part of this project, road works are now underway at East Link Road, the main entrance road to Dublin Airport from the airport roundabout. The works, which are taking place on the eastern side of East Link Road, are part of the DAA’s internal campus roads project.

New drainage, water mains, lighting, and a new kerb line will be constructed at East Link Road as part of this project, which aims to improve road access at the airport and re-configure the roads to allow for the construction of new departures and arrivals roads for Terminal Two.

Traffic management has been installed at East Link Road to allow for the start of these works and this is expected to be in place until February.

The overall campus roads project, which is part of the DAA’s €2 billion Transforming Dublin Airport programme, is due to be completed by March 2010.
