The steel frame of the new Dublin Airport energy centre is now under construction.
Steel erection started at the T2 energy centre site on Tuesday May 6, and is expected to continue for about three weeks. The T2 energy centre is located at the eastern end of the Terminal Two construction site, close to the hangar currently occupied by Ryanair.
Carlow-based Milltown Engineering is the steel contractor for the energy centre, which is an important element of the overall T2 construction programme. The energy centre, which will contain a gas-fired combined heat and power (CHP) plant, is being built by Irish firm Leo Lynch.
