Transforming Dublin Airport

Work Starts On Pier E Bridges

Work is underway to build the first of 19 fixed link bridges for Pier E.

Steelwork is currently being erected for E11 - the fixed link bridge at the south eastern corner of the pier.

The new Pier E boarding gate facility will have 19 fixed link bridges with airbridges at the end to allow passenger access the aircraft. The fixed link bridges at Pier E will have glazed walls at the end closest to the building to create a pleasant light-filled space.

At 24,000 sq metres, Pier E will be 60% larger than Pier D, Dublin Airport’s most modern boarding gate facility, which opened in October 2007.
